Matthew Childs Design was born from my love of gardens and a desire to create unique and special outdoor spaces for others.
I trained at KLC College of Design at Hampton Court Palace, attaining a diploma in Garden Design with Honours, and was awarded ‘Top Student of the Year’. I have also attained the RHS level 2 certificate in horticulture.
In 2012 I received a gold medal and ‘Best Conceptual Garden’ at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower show for my garden ‘Light at the end of the tunnel’. In 2013 I returned to the Hampton Court Palace Flower show with a show garden for Ecover which was awarded a gold medal and ‘Best in Show’. In 2014 I was asked to design a Main Avenue garden for Brewin Dolphin at the RHS Chelsea Flower show which was awarded a silver-gilt medal.
Since establishing Matthew Childs Design I have had the opportunity to work on a wide range of gardens and landscapes for private and commercial clients. The first thing I bring to every project is an abundant source of creativity. In response to the surrounding environment and the requirements of your specific brief my aim will be to inspire you with designs that are fresh and innovative.
My approach to Garden design is tailored to you, the client. Passion and creativity for design are combined with a professional approach, which relies on a thorough understanding of your brief and a respect for your budgets and timings.
Finally, I am a personable chap. It is important to me that the process of designing gardens is enjoyable for me, the people I work with and above all for you my Client.
I would love to have the opportunity to help you realise your dream outside space.
