A show garden from 2016 for the Gardens and People Festival in Moscow, Russia attaining the ‘Grand Prix’ award. The inspiration behind the garden was Kazimir Malevich’s ‘Black Square’ painting. Just as this movement of painting sought to ‘free art from the ballast of the objective world’ and have an emotional impact, our garden also aimed to have a similar impact. Acting as a time machine the black box took visitors back to the freedom of childhood, free from the filters and constraints of adult life.
